The Northwest New Mexico Pickleball Club will have an MLP Style team league starting April 18th and going through May 23rd. The league will be Thursday nights at Brookside Park starting at 6:30 pm through roughly 8:30 pm.
In this format, team captains will draft teams from registered players. Each team will have eight players. On each league night, the team captains will assign their 8 players to different courts (2 men and 2 women per court). Then, the players on each court will play another team. Each court will play the following matches:
Men vs. Men
Women vs. Women
Mixed vs. Mixed
Other Mixed vs. Other Mixed
Each game won will result in one point for your team. At the end of the season, we'll take the four teams with the most points and have a playoff championship!
This is a great format where all players of all abilities can contribute to the team's success!
On each league night, each player will play a total of six games. The games will be played with rally scoring, which makes for fast paced action.
League registration is limited to the first 42 players signed up (21 men and 21 women). Cost is $15 per person!
